What a great day for a wedding!

Today was Kasey Marie and Jeremy’s wedding vow renewal, and it was a windy, fun and glamorous affair! {emphasis on fun} The wind finally died down, the sun came out and the party was on. :)

It was definitely one of the most entertaining and fun weddings I have had the opportunity to photograph and/or attend.

The girls were freezing their goosebumps off, but you’d never be the wiser from the beautiful pictures they effortlessly pulled off.

The guys almost had too much fun with their plans to throw the groom in the lake. Fortunately they didn’t follow through. :)

We watched the sky in earnest on our way out to Cashmere Washington to shoot Julio and Josie’s wedding pictures. The bulging clouds looked like they would burst any second from the rain that was sure to come pouring down on us. We prepared for the worst and hoped for the best and the best is exactly what we got. It wasn’t perfect as any of the girls would tell you, but they braved the cold and you would never be the wiser to their inconvenience. I couldn’t be happier with the results. The excitement and happiness of the party was contagious. A very fun day and a beautiful wedding! :)

    Spring

    Posted in: Articles

I was all too excited to get a picture of these gorgeous long awaited blooms in my garden. I’ve been watching them through my window for the last couple weeks, begging them to bloom. They turned out pretty cool in bw too.

    Wedding tomorrow! :D YAY

    Everybody enjoy your weekend!

Spring is all about fresh beginnings and new life.
Some friends of ours just started a new beginning with a new little life just two weeks ago.
I had the opportunity to photograph their darling little guy. It was so much fun to see the new parents cuddle their adorable sweetheart.

Ahhh, what a beautiful time of year!

    The Fever

    Posted in: Articles

One single comment from the weatherman made my week last week, “…looks like the forecast is calling for sun for the rest of the week, and into the weekend.”

And today I still see some beautiful sun!

I had two shoots later in the week, and I couldn’t have asked for prettier days! Spring is just around the corner, and I am soo ready for it! :D

Kevin and I washed and vacuumed our very dirty car and truck, and took a walk in our shorts this weekend. Ahhh, nothing feels as good as those first warm days after months of cold and wet. Almost time to put away the sweaters and jackets and replace them with tank tops and flip flops!

Caught the fever yet? Let me know what you’re doing to ring in the new season.

    Cold Feet

    Posted in: Articles

Ok, just to be fair, neither of them really got “cold feet,” but they did have cold feet!

Saturday I had the pleasure and opportunity to take Mr. and Mrs. Chris Manke’s Wedding Pictures.

Everything ran so smoothly and I was so busy having fun snapping pictures, I was surprised when it came time to go home. Beautiful weather, beautiful wedding and the reception was amazing! I had to stop myself from dancing alongĀ  to the Black Eyed Peas with all of the guests!

And what about the happy couple? They were great! They even trudged around in the snow, the bride in her dress and flip flops, the groom in his white suit and shiny shoes, all for the sake of some really breathtaking photos.

I couldn’t have asked for more!

Thank you Renee and Chris for the opportunity to capture your wedding day!

And one more shout out to my wonderful light and all around photographer assistant, Kevin :)

My world would be dark without you.

I don’t know about you guys, but the holidays didn’t seem quite like the holidays this year without all the white stuff.
Now it’s coming down in bunches!

I got some really fun geeky photography stuff for Christmas, and I had the wonderful opportunity to break some of it in on Dulce’s Senior Session last week. It was a beautiful but very cold and crispy day for pictures! Dulce was a trooper though in spite of the slippery walkways and goosebumps. Thank you Dulce!

I hope you all had a happy holiday and enjoyed your New Years!

2010 is going to be a great year!

A song was heard at Christmas
    To wake the midnight sky:
A saviour’s birth, and peace on earth,
And praise to God on high.
    The angels sang at Christmas
    With all the hosts above,
And still we sing the newborn King
    His glory and his love.
